The information picked by Coverghana Media Network suggests that, a police officer by the name Ibrahim Abass, who was protecting ballot boxes at the Ablekuma Central Constituency Collation center from being snatched and accidentally shot by unknown uniformed national security operatives has been confirmed dead.
Ibrahim Abass was among some NDC footsoldiers who suffered gun shot during Collation of the December 2020 Polls.
Further information suggest that, he was one of the inviduals who was protecting the ballot boxes from being snatched by unknown uniformed soldiers described by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as hoodlums of the New Patriotic Party during the December 2020 general elections.
According to sources, Ibrahim Abass was on duty as police officer and was accidentally shot at Odokor divisional H/Q collation center in Ablekuma Central Constituency.
According to our sources, he undergone a surgery on 15th December, 2020 hoping for full recovery. Unfortunately, his death occurred at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital this morning, 16th December, 2020 where he was admitted for treatment.
Ibrahim Abass was reportedly shot by unknown uniformed security operatives at Ablekuma Central collation centre during the December 2020 Polls.
He is also a brother to the NDC Constituency Women organizer Hajia Rahinatu and footsoldiers of the party.
Information available further revealed that, Ibrahim Abass passed-out as a police officer at the Koforidua Depo. He was in Koforidua Depo room 3 prior to his passing out.
