A pre-burial ceremony was solemnly conducted at the Tema Community Centre in Accra to honor the memory of the late NSMQ Star, James Lutterodt.
James, a remarkable young individual aged only 19, had notably contributed as a member of the Keta Senior High School team that achieved historic success at the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) in 2021.
The final farewell for James is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in Keta. His untimely departure occurred on July 1, following a brief illness that led to his hospitalization in Tema.
During the pre-burial service, Francis Jackson Ahiable, a trusted family friend, delivered a deeply moving tribute on behalf of James’ mother.
In her heartfelt message, she conveyed her profound grief while reminiscing about her cherished moments with her beloved son.
“You meant the world to me, and you embodied everything a son could aspire to be. You were a precious and extraordinary soul, truly one in a million. Your future held such promise and brightness. It is a heart-wrenching loss to see that future cut short prematurely.”
“Why did fate not spare you? You had your entire life ahead of you, but we trust that God knows what is best. James, your absence is a constant ache, and thoughts of you fill my every moment.
How I yearn for your presence. Death may have taken you from my grasp, but it can never steal you from my heart. Tears flow when I speak your name.
No one feels your absence more deeply than I do, and I will forever treasure the memories we created together, for you will always live on in my heart. Rest in eternal peace, my dear son.”
