Prempeh College NSMQ champion scores 8As in WASSCE whilst in SHS 2
Obend Nana Kyei Eden
One of the Prempeh College National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) champions Obend Nana Kyei Eden has scored 8As in West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) – Private/NOV/DEC while he was in SHS two (2).
According to sources, he wrote the Examination in 2020 at Old Tafo Examination centre as a private candidates while he was in Senior High School form two (2).
The result shows that, he had A1s in all the subjects he registered and has sat for.

News on the outstanding performances of Obend Nana Kyei Eden was made public by the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who is also an old student of the Prempeh College, Kumasi.
In sharing the new, Nana Henry Boakye Nana-B said, “So this morning, I received a message from Eden of Prempeh College & NSMQ fame. The message reads;”
“Good Morning sir, Please this is Eden of Prempeh College. Please, I took your number from Mr. Asiamah. Please, I would like to say your presence and motivation encouraged us to win because with the presence of such a great Amanfo), we had to win. I picked the two riddles when I saw you seated in front wearing that college Uniform. God bless you abundantly for the donation. Boss, please I’ve also applied to KNUST medical School using my 8As NOVDEC results written in Form 2 . Thank You Sir”

“He forwarded the results to me and I just couldn’t believe my eyes, I said to myself wow, this young man sat for NOVDEC and got 8As when he was just a form 2 student? So I asked permission from my young friend if I could share his exceedingly impressive & brilliant results to the world and he said “yes sir it would be a pleasure”. There are many young Edens’ in Ghana who must be nurtured, guided and supported.”
