Former Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has joined the masses to brag over Prempeh College’s victory in the just ended 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
According to the Minister of Energy, and an old boy of the school, he believes that, Prempeh College will defend the trophy next year.
He bragged that, his beloved alma mater, the prestigious Prempeh College, having lifted the covetous 2021 NSMQ trophy, being the fifth win, shall equal and break the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School’s 6-win record in 2022.
“It was a thrilling final, and I congratulate our worthy opponents, Presec and Keta SHTS, for putting up a gallant performance. In particular, Keta SHTS showed a lot of grit in getting to the final.”
He indicated that, the National Science and Maths Quiz competition has come to stay and it is encouraging to note the massive interest it attracts, even if primarily it is a projection of old school pride and rivalries.
“Our team has made us all proud and I am confident that we will gallantly defend the cup next year, and keep it in Kumasi. We shall equal Presec’s six-win record in 2022 and break it the following year. Let no one be left in doubt: We are champions!!!!”
