Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana has sworn into office the Minister of Finance.

The swearing in ceremony of the Minister for Finance, Kenneth Nana Yaw Kuntunkununku Ofori-Atta comes off on Tuesday, 30th March 2021, at a ceremony at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation’s presidency.

Swearing in the re-appointed Finance Minister, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo beseach him to work hard in protecting the Economy to transform Ghana.

He encourages the Finance Minister to fix the economy since every Ghanaian want to see and feel visible improvement of the economy that reflect on their standards of living.

He also congratulated him on his appointment, and indicated to him that the Ghanaian people are expecting him to put the economy on a sound footing once again, and help lead it out of the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Ken Ofori-Atta was unanimously approved by Parliament as the Finance Minister for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s second term govermment.

He was one of the thirty (30) Ministerial Nominees of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who’s vetting was postponed several times dues to health conditions.

The Finance Minister was the last substantive Ministerial Nominee of President Akufo-Addo to be vetted subsequently approved by Parliament.
