The Parliamentary Service of the Republic of Ghana has issued a press statement in which the service indicated that the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament will begin sitting from Tuesday 1 September,2020.

According to the Press Statement, the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament will hold Public sittings from Tuesday 1 September to Friday, 12th September, 2020 to examine the Report of the Auditor- General of Ghana, Public Boards, Corporations and the other Statutory Institutions for 2017 referred to the Committee for consideration.

The statement signed by the Director of Public affairs of Parliament also added that, a total of 47 agencies which fall under 13 ministries are to be examined. These include Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Bank of Ghana, Ghana Cocoa Board, Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND), Ghana Free Zones Board, Forestry Research Institute (CSIR). Ghana AlDS Commission, Lands Commission, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority among others.

The Public Accounts Committee sittings will be held in Committee rooms 1 & 2 of the Administration block of the Parliament House at 9:00am each day and all Covid-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to.
