The family of Alfred Adongo who has been picked as the main suspect for the recent killing in Wa, has called for his immediate release. The suspect has vehemently opposed the charges leveled against by the police.
The family after hearing this and knowing the status of their brother made their intentions clear on their next action.
The family in an interview on Rainbow radio station (87.5Fm’s) said, Alfred is innocent of the charges leveled against him.
Mr. Sefa Kwame Frimpong the brother-in-law of Alfred Adongo opened up on the health status of the suspect. He made it clear that, the suspect in question is a mentally challenged person.
Again, he added that, the alleged suspect is currently under treatment and how can such a person get himself in such act. He also said, the suspect left the house for a while and they have been in search of him.
Mr. Sefa also revealed that, they would use all legal means to set him free. He again said there’s no evidence linking him to the charges.
During his interview, he said “He is not a murderer. He has not killed anyone. He lacks the ability to kill anyone. He is mentally challenged and receiving treatment. He ran away from home, and we have been looking for him for several weeks. It is an attempt to bring shame to the family. They want to use our relative as a scapegoat, but we will fight to the last drop of our blood to ensure his release”.
The family has requested for an all-out investigation from the police because their relative is innocent of the alleged charges.
