IMANI Boss, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe advocates for the replacement of the “yoyo basic Education” with the former “O” and “A” level curricula.

According to Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, the current fashion-like “yoyo” Basic Education cannot be compared to the former GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level curricula that Ghana used to run decades ago.

Mr. Cujdoe sees the current education structure as a “politically controlled education” where the government and its laced-up members decide on who to propel the system to favour their gain at the detriment of the ordinary Ghanaian whom they promised to lead to the “right land” without the aid of external forces even if the nation is in a storm.

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe cut it from the perspective where it was announced that the subject, Our World Our People (OWOP) will not be taught in Basic Schools anymore because “its content is the same in Religious and Moral Education (RME).

His tweeted statement read:

@lordcudjoe

Our World, Our People withdrawn from basic education as its content is the same in Religious and Moral Education (RME). So much to do about our politically controlled education. I so wish we bring back GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level curricula to replace this yoyo basic education.

To Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, GES and other involved stakeholders have to consider the replacement of the “yoyo basic Education” with the former “O” and “A” level curricula for the best outcome.
