Ronald José Acua Blanco Jr. is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder for the Major League Baseball (MLB) Atlanta Braves.

After signing as an international free agent with the Braves in 2014, Acua made his MLB debut in 2018, winning the National League Rookie of the Year Award.

The following season, Acua was chosen as an MLB All-Star, led the NL in stolen bases, and received the Silver Slugger Award.

In 2015, he made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Braves before being promoted to the Danville Braves later that season.

Both Acua’s grandpa, Romualdo Blanco, and father, Ronald Acua Sr., were minor league baseball players. Acua Sr. represented Venezuela at the Pan American Games in 2011.

Acua Jr. is the eldest son of four. Luisangel, his younger brother, is a shortstop in the New York Mets organization.
