SALL battles GBC; Gives ultimatum to retract and apologize for fake Publication
Office of the Joint Steering Committee of the Akpafu and Lolobi Traditional Areas are on a battle field with the Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation (GBC) for what they described as a fake publication which serves as an embarrassment to the Traditional Areas before its members.
According to the leaders of the Joint Steering Committee of the Traditional Areas, their attention have been drawn to a publication on GBC website dated Wednesday, 22nd September 2021 on the subject matter “The People of SALL protest lack of representation”
They disclosed that, in the said publication, GBC reportedly stated that their reporter had spoken to one Joe Addai, CO-Chairman of SALL. It is reported that “Dr Joe Addae have said amongst other
things that what is left is to allow for space and see how things go in the coming days” an endorsement of Akpafu and Lolobi Traditional Areas agreeing to be part
of the Oti Region which the never petitioned to be considered.
The people are surprised that the said communication was given such huge mileage when the said statement is far from the truth.
The Traditional Areas have stated categorically that, their Co-Chairman distances himself from the said publication. “In fact, no reporter from your outfit spoke to him in person or through an agent via any medium.” They said.

According to them, the said fake publication has caused them huge embarrassment, pain and reputation loss as a result.
For avoidance of doubt, the Traditional Areas offer truthful facts and context on the SALL issues to Counter the unfortunate publication from the state-own Broadcaster, GBC.
In that regard, the Traditional Areas are, in a rejoinder asking GBC to take the necessary steps to retract the said publications and render an apology and give same prominence in their subsequent publications within seven (7) days, otherwise they shall advise themselves.
