The Electoral Commission of Ghana has amended it’s decision for all staff of the Commission to go on Christmas break.
The Commission earlier announced that it’s workers will be going on a Christmas and New Year break from Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020 to Tuesday, 19th January, 2021.
Following the backlash which the Electoral Commission’s announcement Received from Ghanaians, the Commission has amended it’s decision.
In Press Release dated 23d December, 2020, the Commission indicated that senior leadership and some key operational staff of the Electoral Commission will be at Post during the break.

UPDATE ON RECESS
Following the successful conduct of the 2020 general elections, all the field staff of the Electoral Commission across the 275 Districts and 16 Regional Capitals, having
worked tirelessly throughout the year in spite of CoviD 19, have been granted a well- deserved break.

The senior leadership and some key operational staff of the Electoral Commission will however continue to work during the break to engage with key stakeholders in pursuance of our mandate to the people of Ghana.
