SOGASCO Old Students angry over attack on their school by COMBOTEC students

The old students of Sogakope SHS are deeply angry over the attack launched by COMBOTEC students on their school.

Recalling, the old students said in June 2023, a similar attack was made on the same gate and after consultations and talks, the culprits were made to repair the damaged gate.
This year, 2024, they (COMBOTEC) have gone back in a similar function to attack the gate again.
When a similar incident happened in 2023, the National Executive Council (NEC) of Old Students of SOGASCO was informed about the attack on their gate. However, for peace to prevail, they called for cool heads and insisted that COMBOTEC repair the broken shutter.
Further, they disclosed another bordering displeasure. They said in 2023, a group of COMBOTEC guys went to pick up SOGASCO ladies in a car. When they were confronted by the Headmaster, they attempted to beat him.
Additionally, the old students said some of their completed buildings on campus are used by others for their own purpose which is uncalled for.
They, SOSANS said the Regional Minister promised a better headway but has not delivered including the District Assembly in 2023. However, they are giving them enough time to play their role and correct things before they resort to serious action.
Forward action by SOSANS
The old students of SOGASCO are calling on DISEC and the Regional Minister to take appropriate actions devoid of the “baseless and actionless” political talk. They want the authorities to employ deterring actions and measures to curb the growing “cravings” in the students.
SOSANS in their submissions want SOGASCO authorities to insist on repairing fully all damages caused to their properties, reprimand the recalcitrant ones, and keep their eyes on the ground (full security for the school).

They also call on the police and other security services to bring peace and order just as the headmaster assured in the news. Also, they want the police to be contracted to extend their monitoring hands to prevent a comeback.
SOSANS suggested the organisation of educational talks with both schools.
“No one should sit on their ass doing nothing about it,” they added.
