V/R- Sogakope COMBOTEC students attack Sogasco students
Students of Comboni Technical Vocational Institute -Sogakope, in the South Tongu District of the Volta region have attacked SOGASCO students, vandalized their gate, and set the security room and classroom ablaze.
Information reaching CoverGhana news desk with the supporting video clips indicates that students of Comboni Technical Vocational Institute attacked Sogakope SHS students and vandalized their security gate.
The report has it that the Sogasco Old Students Association (SOSA) National President called the Headmaster of SOGASCO to receive first-hand information on the incident.

According to the headmaster of SOGASCO, Mr. Newman Dziedzoave the attack on his students (Sogasco students) has some historical antecedents.
Recounting, he said there is a long-standing disagreement between students of Comboni Technical Vocational Institute and students of Sogakofe SHS (SOGASCO) due to access to SOGASCO ladies.

Background: Current feud
The headmaster, Mr. Dziedzoave narrated that two (2) weeks before the vandalized incident, his student, a SOGASCAN fell sick and was taken to the Comboni hospital accompanied by his colleague.
Whilst at the hospital, his colleague felt the need to go out to purchase an item from the vendor outside the hospital’s gate.
When he went out to purchase the item, he was spotted by three (3) students of Comboni Technical Vocational Institute who accosted him and demanded that he tuck in his shirt among other demands.

The said guy refused compelling them to attempt to beat him. However, he defended himself because he is a member of the SOGASCO Cadet Corps (he used some drills) and therefore fit enough to ward them off initially.
They further commanded him to ‘kneel down’ and this time he obliged. They (the attackers) took photos of him kneeling and shared the photos with the caption that they had captured or subdued SOGASCANS.
The incident and the aftermath photo caption did not go down well with SOGASCANS.
Attack During Independence Day Anniversary Celebration
The SOGASCANS made up their mind to retaliate therefore, they waited for their turn during the 6th March independence celebration. When students of Comboni Vocational Technical Institute came to SOGASCO for the parade, SOGACANS surrounded them and demanded that they tuck in their shirts and also submit to a few drills.

They, Comboni students resisted the command hence leading to stone-throwing clashes which injured the driver of the Comboni bus. The driver was admitted, treated, and discharged from the hospital.
This infuriated Comboni Technical Vocational Institute students and a few of them decided to engage in that dastardly act of vandalizing all shutters of the gate, setting the security room and one (1) classroom ablaze.
In all, eight (8) suspects have been picked up by the Police. Four (4) current students and four (4) past students all from Comboni Technical Vocational Institute came in to help with their friends.
The headmaster of Sogasco is currently putting his statement together for the police.
