South Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Seth Kwasi Agbi has been sacked by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

Hon. Seth Agbi gained viral attention for admitting a lack of funds to distribute relief items in the heart of Akosombo Dam spilling last in 2023.
His comment on the distribution of the relief items to their rightful destination sparked much controversy.
This became more contentious as he revealed spending Ghs20,000 on fuel. The motive behind his decision became suspicious and unclear to the entire victims and the nation at large.
On February 2, 2024, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo sacked 24 DCEs and Hon. Seth Kwasi Agbi’s name appeared on the 24 tall names list. This list has truly confirmed the thoughts and what many “foot soldiers” claimed not to be true months ago (during the Akosombo Dam spillage era).
Fast-forward, after sacking 24 DCEs, he, H.E Nana Addo has nominated 26 new set of Chief Executives for the Municipal and District assemblies as replacement
