The South Tongu National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has announced date to organize a one-day youth activists workshop on national cohesion and peaceful co-existence within the District.
As part of planned nationwide activities by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to promote national cohesion and peaceful co-existence across the country, the South Tongu Directorate of the NCCE is undertaking a one-day youth activists workshop on the above mentioned subject with focus on violent extremism.
According to the South Tongu District NCCE Director Mr. Seth Fiagorme, the aim of the workshop amongst many others is to educate the youth on the regulations and laws such as the Public Order Act, the Vigilantism and Related Offences Act, the National Security Strategy and the National Framework for Countering Violent Extremism and Terrorism in Ghana.
He added that, the workshop is scheduled to also create awareness among the citizens, particularly the youth on Grievances Handling Procedures and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms.
Mr. Seth Fiagorme noted that, the workshop is scheduled for Friday, 27th August, 2021 at the South Tongu District Assembly Hall at exactly 9am Prompt.
He said, some key stakeholders within the District and beyond will be in attendance to grace the occasion.
