St. Catherine Girls Senior High School, Agbakope, in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region has announced its Students’ Representative Council (SRC) week celebration.
According to the SRC executive officers, the patron and management of the school, the week celebration will start on Monday 27th June, 2022 with a cleanup exercise by all the students to keep the surroundings clean and a talk on the theme ‘making the girl-child the topmost priority’.
The talk would be handled by an Advocacy group called Mindful Mandate Advocacy from Sogakope, South Tongu.
On Tuesday, 28th June, 2022 selected prefects and house queens would embark on an educational and fun tour at Cisneros.
Wednesday, 29th June 2022 will be a Borborbor night where students shall display their talented drumming and dancing skills.
It’s also a moment for the entire student body with their teachers to exhibit the original Ewe Borborbor moves and as well teach others who cannot dance it properly.
Thursday 30th Jun, 2022 is Competition Day. The Visual Arts and Home Economics departments will undertake live competition on stage for awards.
While the Visual Arts does still life drawing, the Home Economics department would do live sewing within 2 hours also for an award.
The competition will be done on house basis. The houses are St. Maria Goretti, St. Angela Merici, St. Therese and St. Agnes.
Friday 1st July 2022 would be the crowning of a new queen of St. Catherine Girls Senior High School for the 2022 academic year. The pageant is dubbed Miss SCASCO. It is a beauty and intelligence pageant for the bold, articulate and intelligent students.
Saturday, 2nd July, 2022 is the D-day. Sister Schools would be expected to join in the Celebration amidst music and dance.
Management of the school disclosed that, DJ Faculty of TV3 fame is on the bill.
