It has emerged that Hearts of Oak midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari paid only GHC 1 which is equivalent to $0.145 monthly as a player at Accra hearts of Oak.
According to the information revealed by Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamekloe in an interview with Graphicsports indicates that before Sulley Ali Muntari was Accra Hearts of Oak, he was asked how much will be in his contract but he indicated that he does not want to be paid.
However, the board Chair of the team according to reports indicated that it is not done in business and Sulley then said that he wants to be paid GH¢ 1 as monthly salary and this makes him the lowest earning player in the Ghana Premier League.

‘He said he wasn’t going to charge anything, but Togbe said no because it was not done that way in business. Togbe Afede said record must be there to show that you’ve done something [worked and earned a wage/salary] and then Sulley said he’ll charge us GH¢1 a month,” a board member of the team revealed.
