Following the explosion that occured at Appiatse, the Appiatse township has been designated as a disaster scene as rescue activities continue.
All homes in the Western Region town of Appiatse were destroyed after a truck conveying some explosives got involved in an accident and the explosives ignited.
Even though the Appiatse township has been declared a desaster zone, some survivors of the disaster that befell the community, a resident has sneaked into the disaster zone to look her pound of Gold and cash in the rubbles.
Speaking in an interview with TV3, some residents who sneaked into the disaster zone stated that they are shocked at what is left of their township.
