Management of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) says the teacher trainees allowance is not cancelled as purported by many.
According to Trust Fund, it takes note of a fake text message making the rounds on social media, claiming that teacher trainee allowances have been cancelled.
Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) wishes to inform its stakeholders, particularly teacher trainees, that the information is a fabrication.
The statement released on 10th August, 2020 said, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) continues to disburse the allowances on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
The Trust Fund urges stakeholders to verify the authenticity of information purported to come from the SLTF on their website (www.sltf.gov.gh
centre (0302751020).
The Students Loan Trust Fund is a public institution established under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106 to provide financial resources for the benefit of students and to promote and facilitate the national ideals as enshrined in Articles 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution.
It is to replace the SSNIT Students Loan Scheme. The Students Loan Trust Fund Act 2011, Act 820 has been passed by Parliament.
