Mobile Telecommunication Networks in Ghana under the directives of the Ministry for Communications and Digitalization and National Communications Authority (NCA) have issued messages of caution to customers who have still not registered their SIM cards to do so before 30th November, 2022 or risk losing their numbers for good.
This comes as a follow up to the nationwide sim re-registration exercise using the Ghana card which began in September 2021.
A message of caution from MTN, a leading Telecommunication network in the country reads:
“Dear Valued Customer, kindly note that your data service has been deactivated because you are not fully registered with the Ghana card. Your SIM card will subsequently be disconnected completely on 30th November 2022 if you do not complete the registration process. To complete the registration, download the self-service app from Play Store or visit the nearest MTN Branch/Agent for the biometric capture using your Ghana card, GPS address and your unique code. To check if your registration is complete, kindly dial *400#. “B-Cap Yes” means you are fully registered”. Register to stay connected.”
The general public is hereby entreated to comply in order not to lose their mobile sims after the deadline.
