Term 3 Commences: Basic schools to spend 11 Weeks in school

The third term of the 2023 academic year has commenced today, Tuesday, 27th June, 2023, marking the official resumption of basic schools in Ghana.

As per the new academic calendar as released by the Ghana Education Service, the term will span 11 weeks and 2 days, concluding on 15th September, 2023.

Efforts are underway by the Ghana Education Service to reinstate the previous academic calendar.

Consequently, both basic schools and senior high schools will conclude their academic year in September this year. This initiative aims to restore the traditional academic year, wherein classes typically commence in September or October each year.
