The former deputy minister of education and the member of parliament for the North Tongu constituency Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed what the next National Democratic Congress,NDC government under the leadership of H. E John Dramani Mahama will do about the huge number of ministers.
The Constitution gives immense powers to the President of the Republic to appoint any number of ministers he can work with so as to steer the affairs of the country properly.

Upon assuming office as the president of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo Addo exercised his constitutional powers and appointed ministers of state, regional ministers and their deputies all totaling one hundred and twenty three [123].
However, many Ghanaians including the opposition National Democratic Congress picked bones with the appointment arguing that the number of ministers are too many for such a small country like Ghana.
Speaking in an interview on Metro TVs Good Evening Ghana, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that when John Dramani Mahama wins this year’s December 7 general elections, President John Mahama will not appoint only eighty three [ 83 ] ministers, thus 40 ministers less than the number that President Nana Addo has appointed.
