The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has been granted approval by the 5 Board to proceed with a Single Source Procurement Method for the acquisition of a 5GB Data Bundle Package from MTN Ghana.

This decision was reached during the 42nd Board Meeting held on July 4, 2023, and is in accordance with Section 40 (1) (d) of Act 663, as amended.

The purpose of this procurement is to provide 5GB Data Bundle Packages to 29,000 students of the university every month for a duration of one year.

The total cost of the project is not to exceed GHS4,785,000.00, which will be paid in twelve monthly installments. The cost per student per annum is set at GHS165.00.

The approval granted by the Board is valid until December 31, 2023. The university administration has been urged to ensure that all documentation related to this procurement is appropriately maintained for future procurement and tax audits.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that the university is required to post the contract award notice on the appropriate platform.

This step is crucial to ensure transparency and adherence to procurement regulations.
