UG secures victory at 2023 Rugby and Tennis Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Championship

The University of Ghana, Legon (UG) has secured victory at the 2023 Rugby and Tennis Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Championship.

The team of athletes who proudly represented the University secured a victory at both the 2023 Rugby and Tennis Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Championship at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, and the West African Universities Games Championship held at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Nigeria.

After chalking the success, they paid a courtesy visit to the University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo.

The athletes were led by the Director of Sports Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu and coaches from the Sports Directorate.

Presenting, the athletes presented the Vice-Chancellor with the gold medals and the prestigious overall winners’ trophy.

Prof. Amfo congratulated the accomplished athletes and expressed gratitude for their hard work and success. With immense pride, she assured the team of the University’s enduring support in furthering the promotion of sports within UG.
