University of Ghana awards 11 outstanding staff at Central Administration Staff Awards
The University of Ghana, Legon (UG) has awarded eleven (11) outstanding staff at its maiden Central Administration Staff Awards.
The awardees, according to the University, have been recognised for their exceptional service, innovation and leadership at the maiden Central Administration Staff Awards. Each of the awardees received a plaque, a citation, and an amount of money.
The awards, categorised into senior member, senior staff and junior staff awards, underscores UG’s commitment to staff and faculty and promotes a culture of excellence across all levels of administration.
In congratulating the awardees, Registrar, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah remarked, “Your dedication embodies the values of UG and is instrumental in advancing our mission and vision.”
Chairing the ceremony on behalf of the VC, Pro-VC(ASA), Prof. Gordon Awandare commended the recipients, stating, “We recognise your exceptional work and hope that this award inspires you to continue setting high standards and mentoring others.”
On behalf of the awardees, the Senior Assistant Registrar at the Academic Affairs Directorate who was adjudged the Best Senior Member (Administrator), Mr. Frederick Yuorkuu, thanked management for acknowledging their hard work and commitment which reaffirms the University’s investment in its staff.
