President Mahama appoints members of governing board of Bank of Ghana

His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed a list of persons to serve as members of the governing board of the Bank of Ghana.

According to an official release by the Spokesperson to President Mahama Dramani Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, it has been stated that His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama has, in consultation with the Council of State and in accordance with Article 70(1)(d)(iii) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612) as amended by the Bank of Ghana (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Act 918), appointed the following persons as members of the governing board of the Bank of Ghana.

1. DR. JOHNSON PANDIT KWESI ASIAΜΑ – GOVERNOR (CHAIRMAN)

2. DR. ZAKARI MUMUNI – 1ST DEPUTY GOVERNOR

3. THOMAS NYARKO AMPEM – REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE

4. MR. AUGUSTINE FRITZ GOCKEL – ECONOMIST
