UTAG opens Scholarship Fund for students affected by Akosombo Dam Spillage
The leadership of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has announced the opening of a scholarship fund to provide support to students whose families were impacted by the Akosombo dam spillage last year, 2023.
This official exercise was signed by Dr. I.K. Abdul-Hamid (Administrative Secretary for UTAG).
UTAG Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
According to UTAG, a resident in any of the affected communities and currently enrolled or continuing her/his studies at one (1) of the fifteen (15) public universities in Ghana is qualified to apply for this scholarship.
UTAG Scholarship Application Details
The application is open for a short period starting on Monday, 15th January 2024 to Friday, 26th January 2024.

Highlights of UTAG Scholarship
The UTAG Scholarship will provide the following assistance:
Financial assistance for tuition fees, books, and living expenses.
