V/R: GAMENU Health Centre lacks basic health equipment

The GAMENU Health Centre, located in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region lacks some basic health facilities like for smooth and effective delivery of health care constituents.

Information available to Coverghana.com.gh confirmed that the health centre lacks, basic health equipment such as plaster, tissues, liquid soap, stationery, injection violet among many.

Also, street lights at the facility are also malfunctional whiles snakes and other reptiles continue to invade the facility on daily basis.

It’s reported that, the community cannot afford a security post at the facility making it difficult for nurses, whom are solely ladies to deliver at night for fear of attack on them since some were already robbed of their valuables sometime ago.

Sources closed to the Health facility revealed this since Government has for sometime finds it difficult to provide some of these things to Health Centres across the District and Ghana at large.

In a statement issued by Mr. Seyram Glah, the Secretary to the Health Committee at GAMENU Electoral Area is appealing to the general public, individuals and philanthropists for their support.
