On Wednesday night, June 24, 2020 termor struck some parts of the country namely the Eastern, Central and Greater Accra regions with the capital city being the hardest hit.
Some of the areas that was hard hit in the city of Accra are; Dansoman, Achimota Mile 7, Spintex, and North Kaneshie in Accra. Other affected areas which reportedly experienced the tremor were Ashaley Botwe, Adentan, Kwashieman, Amasaman, Tema, Gbawe, Kokrobite and McCarthy Hill, East Legon, Ablekuma, Ashongman Estate, Tetegu, Sowutuom, and Mambrobi Sempe among others.
A Closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage shows the extent to which buildings shook during the tremor last night.
