VIDEO : Excavators burnt in People’s homes?
Burnt excavators
A video trending on social media shows how a number of excavators were set on fire just around people’s homes.
According to the narration on the video, the excavators were set ablaze by some members of the Government’s task force fighting against Galamsey eventhough the equipment were just parked somewhere behind people’s homes.
In the video, there are many houses surrounding where the excavators were parked indicating the the equipment were not being used for illegal mining as at the time they were allegedly set ablaze by the taskforce.

BACKGROUND
Earlier, illegal miners were cautioned by Government to pull out their equipment along water bodies and forest reserves or risk having their equipment set ablaze.
