We believe in you, finish well and excel – Education Minister to BECE candidates

The Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum is calling on BECE candidates to finish well and excel in this year’s examination.

The Minister believes that, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s Government have invested significantly in the BECE candidates education and now is the time for them to finish well and excel.

In a goodwill messages to 2022 BECE candidates, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum said, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and the good people of Ghana, convey his best wishes to the 552,276 candidates from 18,501 schools who will sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) across 2,023 centres in the country from Monday 17th October to Friday 21st October.

“For the past nine (9) years of your education, your parents, teachers, and Government have invested significantly in your education and now is the time for you to finish well and excel.”

“The President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believes in you. This is why he has made key investments in your future by ensuring that all successful candidates who qualify for placement in any of our public senior high or technical and vocational schools will benefit from the Government’s Free Senior High School (SHS) or Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET).”

The Minister is confident that all candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities and teachers will heed to all rules and regulations regarding this exam.

He assured that, his Ministry is working with the Ghana Education Service, West African Examination Council and the Security Services to safeguard all the 2,023 designated centres across the country.

“Again, I wish you all success in your Basic Education Certificate Examinations. Go make us proud!”
