The University of Cape Coast (UCC) is taking a stand against false information circulating on social media platforms regarding purported new accommodation rates for Halls of Residence on its campus.
In an official statement released, UCC’s Management expressed deep concern about the dissemination of inaccurate information concerning residential hall rates for the upcoming 2023/2024 Academic Year.
They categorically emphasized that no new accommodation rates have been determined for the said academic year.
Students, stakeholders, and the general public are strongly advised to dismiss these misleading publications and regard them with the utmost contempt.
The university’s administration is committed to adhering to established procedures when considering adjustments to residential accommodation rates.
Moreover, the statement underscored that any potential rate changes, if deemed necessary, would follow due process and be communicated to all stakeholders through official channels.
The university administration issued a stern warning to those involved in disseminating these false claims, cautioning them to immediately cease their activities or face the consequences of their actions.
