A renowned professor of Public Law and Legal Practitioner Professor PLO Lumumba has congratulated the African Unions and the government of Ghana for their efforts to establish African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Ghana.
Professor PLO Lumumba in his statement said, Africans look forward to Africa trading robustly without let and hindrance. According to him, the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area in Ghana is a good initiative and will help promote the bonded unity among Africa Countries.

On Monday, 17th August 2020, the President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned and handed over the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to the African Union Commission.
President Akufo-Addo announces date for the reopening of boarders
Ghana government has fully discharged all her obligations and commitments agreed with the AU Commission, and has successfully handed over a fully furnished and befitting office space, in a secured and easily accessible location within the business centre of Accra, as the Permanent Secretariat of the AfCFTA.
Ghana government has provided also an appropriate, furnished residential accommodation as the official residence of the Secretary-General of the AfCFTA.
