Right in the face of France, Argentina denied them from lifting the trophy the second time which would have made it conservatively for the second time but the third to be won in all. France won their first trophy in 1998 followed by 2018.
In the 2022 World Cup, Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the final game against Messi’s Argentina in the extra time. Mbappe scored all the three goals. The first one was scored at the 80th minute with penalty and the second at 81st minute. The final goal was scored at the 118th-minute with penalty also.
His hat-trick was marked with the penalty kick which brought the game to a draw (3-3) during the extra time given.
In history, Mbappe is now the only second player to have achieved the such feat at the World Cup final. Earlier, Geoff Hurst scored a hat-trick at the 1966 World Cup for England during their match with West Germany.
Mbappe is on set to break records legends have recorded for ages. He is one of the calibre of player that is dominating with the breaking of topmost records of legends including Pelé of Brazil.
