Youssef Kerkour, a Moroccan-British actor, is well known for his gripping performances. He became well-known for playing the Syrian refugee Sami in the comedy-drama series “Home.” A nomination for the coveted 2020 British Academy Television Awards was given to Youssef for his outstanding performance, recognizing both his talent and the significance of his character.

Kerkour grew up in Rabat, Morocco, where his father, a Moroccan mathematics professor, and mother, an English schoolteacher, relocated after meeting in France in the 1960s.
