1D1F: We break the impossibility doubts of NDC – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says, his New Patriotic Party government has broken the impossibility doubts of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Addressing the gathering at the 65th Independence Day Anniversary held in Cape Coast Sports Stadium, H.E, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo briefed the public on
their “ONE DISTRICT ONE FACTORY” agenda.

Speaking at the ceremony about the 1D1F initiative,  he said “The One-District-One-Factory initiative, which has seen the ongoing construction of two hundred and seventy-eight (278) factories across the country, one hundred and six (106) completed, is part of the foundation on which we are building a comprehensive industrialization program, inspired by the development of strategic anchor industries, such as the emerging automotive industry and the coordinated exploitation of our bauxites and iron ore resources”

From the statement of His Excellency, two hundred and seventy-eight is the number of factories that his government has put under the 1D1F initiative with hundred and six (106) completed as of 2022 March 6th.

1D1F initiative is one of the revolutionary interventions since independence – Alan Kyerematen

The 1D1F initiative was part of the manifesto of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) way back in 2016. It’s been almost six (6) years since the NPP assumed office thus from 7th January, 2017 and from the statement made by the president, only a little over one-third of the factories under the initiative have been completed.

Devoid of any political lens or affiliations, the question is: Could the current governing NPP administration succeed with the 1D1F initiative if it had only a term which is four (4) years to govern or the 1D1F initiative was a plan for two terms which is eight (8) years?
