Ablakwa lobbies for a first-class Cassava Starch Processing Factory in North Tongu

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has lobbied a first-class Cassava Starch processing factory in his Constituency.

Togbeworgbedzi, as he is affectionately called by his Constituents, in announcing the good news said, his next major project within North Tongu is a 15,000 tonnes per year Cassava Starch Processing Factory to be sited in his beloved constituency.

Clarifying matters on the Cassava Starch Processing Factory, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that, the project is a collaboration between his office, the TIAST Group of China and a Consortium of Banks. According to him, the project is not an extension of or under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Government’s One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) Policy.

He said, the people of North Tongu can expect guaranteed market for the dynamic cassava farmers and thousands of new jobs for the youth.

According to the Lawmaker, the construction on the Cassava Starch Processing Factory will begin this year, 2021 and expected to be completed next year, 2022.

Mr. Ablakwa has also unvieled how the North Tongu Cassava Starch Processing Factory will look when completed next year.

  1. In fact this will help Volta Region especially the constituency at large. I congratulate you for that our MP Mr Samuel and please continue to do a follow up until it cames to reality. Put in alot of deserted massive effort to admire the ambitions soo as to make Volta Region an attractive zone.
