Ablakwa returns home with thanksgiving tour after his 2020 election victory

The Honourable Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa will officially return to his Constituency to embark on thanksgiving tour to his constituents.

This has become very necessary after a successful December 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections across the country leading to his massive victory.

In a statement issued by the Constituency Communications bureau said, though the National Democratic Congress (NDC) couldn’t win the Presidential election, it’s incumbent on leadership to institute this all important exercise to relay with members, current issues of party interest and the way forward, especially the upcoming re-organisation exercise towards the 2024 general elections.

Okudzeto Ablakwa hunts for talents in his Constituency

According to the Information, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa’s tour is billed to kick start on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

The MP’s first day of the tour will take the team to Battor Torgodo enclave in the North Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region.

Below is the movement plan as put forward by the constituency secretary, Mr. Abotsi Wisdom for the “Thank You Tour” within the Battor Torgodo enclave.

All branch chairmen, ward coordinators and the entire branch executives and the general public are to take keen interest in the tour. The statement also said, each branch/ward would be informed days ahead of their community visit.

Ablakwa hands over a new 6-unit primary school block to Battor Morklikpo community

A delegation from the Volta Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress is expected to join the team as and when the need be for this very important exercise.

“We are happy to meet our hardworking comrades across the constituency. Leadership of NDC North Tongu Constituency wishes to inform it’s cherished members and the the generality of Constituency of its intended “Thank You Tour” to the communities.”

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has won the North Tongu Parliamentary seat with a total valid votes of 39,294 representing 89.71% against his immediate contender Richard Collins Arku of New Patriotic Party who obtained a total valid votes of 4,086 representing 9.21% while the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) Parliamentary candidate obtained a valid votes of 442 that represent 1.08% in the December 2020 elections.

Though the MP is exceedingly grateful to his beloved constituents for the collective achievement for winning the Parliamentary election, he is not too happy for his inability to secure a total of 97% valid votes target in the December 2020 Parliamentary election.

He has since commissioned research on how he can reach out to the about 10% and better understand their expectations as he hopes to secure their support in the forward march of North Tongu.

As part of his appreciation, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has scheduled a thanksgiving tour across his Constituency to thank his Constituents.
