Former Captain of the Black Stars and Striker for Legon Cities FC speaks about his delay for joining the national team again.

In a radio interview at Peace FM, the former Captain of Ghana’s national team, Asamoah Gyan disclosed that he don’t think/regard himself to be fit physical and ready to play competitive games.

“I’ve not retired yet but to play at the World Cup, you have to earn it and I’m not fully fit.”

He also answered the interviewer when few related questions where asked to ascertain his stand on playing for the National team.

He told the Host/Interviewer that, he, Asamoah Gyan have to train and get a team where he will play and perform better before answering the calls of Black Stars.

Gyan explained further that when he gets a team playing before Black Star call him,  he will honour their invitation and join quickly without hesitating.

Playing a team will restore him more and prepare the body fit for competitive games afterwards.

He added that even though he is a talented player, he still believes that his physical fitness must be worked on before authorizing the pitch call hence, to play for the National team again.

His insisted saying that he needs a right form that can enable him play for Black Star again.
