A teacher at Ave-Senior High School has been assaulted by his students. Per eyewitnesses and reports, one Mr. Innocent Agblorti, a teacher at Ave-Senior High School located in the Volta Region has been assaulted by his student when he was advising them for a good outcome.

Reports have it that Mr. Innocent Agblorti was on duty and saw some students during prep time outside the usual classroom for studies.

Upon approaching the students, he noticed that they were opposite sex in the darkness under a tree on the campus.

He then decided to advise the students to tow the right path for their academic work will play a vital role in their life (usual advice from Teachers to students).

Unfortunately, the advice was “not worth it” therefore one of the students from the group stoned the head of the Teacher from his back which left him in an unconscious state.

The Lead Educator and Founder of Informed Teachers Network, Akporhor Jerry Lead Educator in his release on the rebellious act condemn and called for an immediate investigation into the case and call the perpetrators to justice.

“We condemn this act of violence against a teacher who was only trying to ensure discipline and safety on the school premises. We demand immediate action from the school authorities, the Ghana Education Service, and the Ministry of Education to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.”

“The safety and security of teachers and other school staff should be a top priority, and it is unacceptable that they are subjected to such violence and aggression. We call on the authorities to take swift action to ensure that this incident does not repeat itself in any other school in the country,” he added.

“We urge the police to investigate the case thoroughly and provide regular updates to the victim and the general public on the progress made towards dealing with the culprits responsible for this heinous act.”

“We stand with Mr. Innocent Agblorti and all other teachers who have been subjected to violence and abuse in their line of duty. We call on the authorities to take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of all teachers and school staff in the country.”
