Battor Catholic Hospital records 9 Covid-19 positive cases and still counting

The Battor Roman Catholic Hospital in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region has recorded nine (9) positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus as of Wednesday, 20th January, 2021.

Information picked by from the hospital disclosed that, so many samples were taken to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Covid-19 testing centre in Ho, where a total of nine (9) positive cases have been confirmed.

The hospital management is yet to give a a detailed breakdown of the positive case count.

Meanwhile, the hospital has taken new samples on Thursday, 21st January, 2021 for another testing and has also commenced contact tracing within the Hospital and the North Tongu District.

Reports available suggests that, aside the nine (9) Positive cases, two more cases have been recorded today waiting for official announcement from the hospital management.

In a statement, the hospital management has directed health workers to be strict with no mask no entry and wearing of nosemask among other Covid-19 safety protocols.

Currently, the individuals who were tested positive are in the Hospital isolation unit receiving treatment.
