Professional Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu have been found dead according to news from Turkey Media outlets.
Atsu was staying in a building with a number of Hatayspor team-mates and officials in one of the buildings that collapsed during an earthquake in Turkey.
Some survivors are still being rescued after the quakes and aftershocks in southern Turkey and northern Syria that are known to have killed more than 40,000 people.
The 31-year-old was reported to have been found alive but few hours after the reports, it later turned out to be a mistaken identify.
As a result, some members of his family and his agent Nana Sekyere flew to Turkey to team up with his club in search of him.
During the recent search, some of Christian Atsu things such as shoes and passports among other belongings were found. Later, the search and rescue team found his passport and other belongings which were confirmed by his agent.
