Deion Luwynn Sanders Sr. is an American football coach and former player who is the current head football coach at the University of Colorado Boulder. He was known as “Prime Time” and played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens.

Sanders also played outfield for the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball (MLB). He won two Super Bowls and appeared in the World Series in 1992, making him the only athlete to play in both the Super Bowl and the World Series.

Sanders sought a career as a sports broadcaster and coach after retiring as a player. From 2020 to 2022, he was the head football coach at Jackson State University, where he led the team to two consecutive Celebration Bowl trips and the school’s first undefeated regular season. Sanders was named head football coach at Colorado near the end of the 2022 season.
