The Electoral Commission of Ghana over the week has been making errors in every press statement that emanates from it’s outfit.
In a recent Press statement from the Electoral Commission onfake Gazetted Parliamentary election results has also contained another unforgivable errors.
In the press statement with the caption “Gazzeted Results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections circulating on social media not authentic” has the word ” Gazetted wrongly spelt.
The second paragraph of the press statement thus: “The Gazzeted results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections can be purchased at the Assembly Press” also has the the word ” Gazetted” wrongly spelt.
It’s unclear why the Electoral Commission could be making such errors in it’s public documents, but some Ghanaians believe that, the continued errors in the Electoral Commission’s documents is as a result of pressure being mounted on them by Ghanaians following a the declaration of what has been described by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a flawed and rigged elections.
Below is the press statement issued by EC with the errors.
