GCB announces vital information to clients on E-levy implementation

The Ghana Commercial Bank PLC is informing their clients on applicable E-levy charges at their banks across the country effective 1st May, 2022.

Inline with the upcoming Electronic Transfer levy (E-Levy) which is intended to commence officially on 1st May, 2022, the bank is informing their clients that, a 1.5% fee will be charged on all electronic transfers as directed by the Government and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

According to Management of GCB, the said 1.5% charges will be attracted by the following services:

1. Transfers on the same network wallet will attract 1.5% charge.

2. The transfer of money from a wallet to another network /or wallet transfers from one network to another.

3. The transactions made from wallet to bank /or wallet to bank transfers.

4. Wallet to bank transfers.

5. Bank to wallet transfers on a digital platform will also  be charged at 1.5%
