GES gives NaCCA go-ahead to train officers to handle the National Standardized Test

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has granted approval to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) to train regional level master trainers’ training, monitor the test administrator’s training at the district levels and ensure that the test materials are well managed and packages after each test administration session.

The primary of the workshop is to equip all Regional and District Directors, District Examination Officers, Training Officers and test administrators with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to support the smooth organization and administration of the Primary 4 and 6 National Standardised Test (NST).

Focus/cover of the workshop

The workshop will cover a comprehensive range of activities, including:

  1. Test Administration Procedures
  2. Training Delivery Techniques
  3. Quality Assurance and Monitoring Protocols
  4. Roles and Responsibilities of both Regional and District Directors of Education
  5. Proper Handling of the Scannable Sheets
  6. Q & A Session

  1. Arrival day at the assigned region – Friday, 19th July, 2024
  2. Regional level Master Trainers Training Workshop – Saturday, 20th July, 2024
  3. District-level Test Administrators Training Workshop – Sunday, 21st July, 2024
  4. Test Administration Day for P4 – Monday, 22nd July, 2024
  5. Test Administration Day for P6 – Tuesday, 23rd July, 2024
  6. Departure Day for National Trainers – Wednesday, 24th July, 2024
