GES revises guidelines of approval for Sandwich, Distance, Weekend and Evening Programmes

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revised it guidelines of approval for Sandwich, Distance, Weekend and Evening Programmes for GES staff.

In a statement issued on 6th September, 2021 by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to all Regional Directors of Education, has directed staff of the Service and Directors to discard the old procedures/guidelines for further studies approval.

According to the Director-General of Ghana Education Service Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, the reviewed guidelines approved by management is effective on Tuesday 7th September, 2021.

The new guidelines for applications for approval for Post Diploma Bachelor of Education (Sandwich, Distance, Weekend, and Evening) programmes announced by GES are as followed.

1. An Applicant will apply through the District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education to the Regional Director.

2. The Regional directorate will compile the details of all qualifying applicants to the headquarters using the attached template.

3. After the Director-General’s approval is given, the Regional Director will issue an approval letter to complete the process using the attached template.

Management of GES further said, the programmes for which a staff is applying for should be an approved course as indicated in the approved courses for Study Leave With Pay.
