Government declares 31st July, 2020 a Public Holiday

The Ministry of Interior under the leadership of Hon. Ambrose Derry has issued a press release dated 24th July, 2020 declaring 31st July,2020 a public holiday.
According to the press release signed by Hon. Ambrose Derry stated that “The general public is hereby reminded that Friday, July 31, 2020 which marks Eid-Al-Adha, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

The Ministry also adviced the general public to observe the safety protocols associated with the novel coronavirus pandemic (CovID-19), especially in relation
to social events at public places in relation to the celebration of the holiday.
