In the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) history of Chairperson in Agona East Constituency, Hannah Asamoah becomes the first female Chairperson for her Constituency.
The National Youth Organizer of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana-B has announced this in a congratulatory message to the newly elected Chairperson for Agona East Constituency.
In an inspiring post written by Nana B, he said, “the story of Hannah is an inspiration to all women, especially those in politics.
Nana B eulogized the feat of Hannah Asamoah, the newly elected Chairperson of Agona East Constituency saying that, she was the first female to be elected as Constituency Youth Organizer and her diligence and competence got her nominated by President Akufo-Addo for the position of DCE for Agona East District.
Although she was rejected by the Assembly members three times, Hannah never gave up.
The Mr. Henry Boakye added that, with determination and perseverance, she was overwhelmingly voted for to lead their party as Chairperson in the Agona East Constituency.
He disclosed the results from the election held. During the election held for the Chairmanship of Agona East Constituency, Hannah Asamoah obtained a whooping 393 as against 196 votes pulled by her closest contender.
“I’m over excited about this refreshing development and it’s my prayer that Hannah continue to scale greater heights in the political arena and excel in her new role,” He expressed his joy.
