Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Honourable Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency has launched Furniture and Footwear Bank for his constituents.
The former Deputy Minister of Education who is focused on transforming the phase of Education and supporting the vulnerable has launched the latest intervention for his beloved North Tongu.
The MP, on Thursday, 4th November, 2021 has announced the information publicly to have launched the latest intervention programme for the people of his beloved North Tongu.
According to him, the purpose of the intervention is to establish a Furniture Bank that constantly stores at least 5,000 pieces of furniture at all times and a Footwear Bank that makes available more than 2,000 varying sizes of footwear for kids of all ages.
Also, the project is a total all year round elimination of no furniture syndrome in public schools and ensuring not a single child in remote villages in North Tongu walk to school bearfooted again.
Mr. Ablakwa added that, every child in his Constituency deserves the best livelihood and he is doing his possible best to achieve that.
The MP assured the constituents that, Free distribution of the Furniture and Footwear will begin on 3rd December, 2021 across the Constituency.
“We are abolishing the “no furniture syndrome” by establishing a Furniture & Footwear Bank [FFB] which will store in excess of 5,000 school furniture & at least 2,000 footwear for vulnerable kids all year round.”
